About this service
About this service
Digital X-ray is an imaging method that can assist a clinician in evaluating bones, joints, chest structures and certain injuries.
When it is used
A doctor may request a chest, limb, spine or other X-ray depending on symptoms. Digital imaging produces pictures for trained interpretation; an image alone is not a diagnosis.
Preparation and follow-up
Bring the referral or prescription and prior X-rays. Tell the imaging team if pregnant or pregnancy is possible so appropriate precautions can be taken.
